~~~***CROSSES***~~~
This Morning, 3:30 am, my Uncle Rannie died........he was my dad's younger brother, 82 and a SWEETHEART of a man!
we are still Journaling with Misty and today's assignment was, "SHAPES" Pick one shape and go from there. I didn't know what shape I was going to do but it was obvious today on a Sunday after hearing my family morning news what shape I was going to do. A CROSS......
When someone dies, it makes YOU think of your own death, and it makes me think of Jesus's death on a CROSS. Lots of people pray in the form of a cross, I do myself sometimes when alone......
To catch up on yesterday's assignment (make something and give it away)I want to offer my readers these postcards for now, I'll even give YOU more!(I will pick a winner Friday) These are all from my collages.......I didn't have time to do anything yesterday for being to church and the hospital. Maybe sometime later I can catch up on that assignment! Until then ,YOU have the chance to win these CRO POSTCARDS!!!hehe(just leave a comment!)
I had a lapse of good judgement for my post January 23 soOOOOoOo I deleted it, I will be posting that on my other Blog, Crostuff sometime later.
Oh sweetie, I'm soo sorry to hear of you Uncles death. It is good to keep the faith at these hard times. With the cross photos and collage it is obvious you have done just that. Keep his memeories close to your heart.
I love the postcards, your collage art is always so bright and fun. Love it. Enter me in your give-away drawing please. I wondered about the other post but understand completey why it disappeared. Maybe you could repost it without the one photo. Try to have a good day.
I know when my DH goes, if he does before me, I'll be so lonesome and so will others who will miss him. I think that is how we know a truly successful life, when people feel the world is just not the same without us in it. Good people leave the biggest holes in our lives. . .
My condolences on the passing of your uncle. It's always hard to lose a loved one even when they have reached an advanced age.
Cinda - your postcards are very special and a bit different from your usual offerings. The second I especially like. Without being anything in the style of the artist, DeGrazia, it still reminds me of him and his beautiful churches he painted.
Blessings,
Annie
