I love this haiku for its sheer simplicity. Sure, we need to reach out to people around.

I looked at this photo long and hard. Looks like a common back yeard, but then I realized that it belongs to someone, you, or at least what you see everyday and what greets you. That thought is soothing for some reason. At first light, when I look out into my own back yard, I'll see what greets me and pay attention. It will not be the same thing, but will have new meaning.
Thanks.

Peace.

Hey Spadoman! I WISH I saw these in my back yard! These beauties are down the hill from me, far enough from the pesky deer that eat all kinds of flowers up here where I live!!!I LOOK in my backyard and I see a birdbath with Blue Jays bathing, splashing joyfully and drinking, cone flowers and marigolds, flowers the deer must not like thank goodness complete with 2 of those silly plastic pink flamingos my daughter bought for me! hehe also crows, robins, cardinals, sparrows, wood peckers, other little birds, groundhogs, squirrels, deer and a too tame racoon! Next year, I'll have to get those huge containers for my flowers, especially if I want those wonderful sunflowers!and have them on my porch or fence the whole yard! UG!

O! I forgot, an occasional neighbor's cat we call Butchie! Ah-choo! Unfortunately, I am allergic to all animals now and I grew up on a farm with cows, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, ducks, chipmunks, squirrels and sheep! What happened?!! hehe

How wonderful that you are greeting with Sunflowers each day...

Love your attitude now, that you are embracing what you need too, to finish the course and win the race.

I'm your cheerleader, girlfriend..
