PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD

bUT WHO NOW LIVE A NEW LIFE IN CHRIST!!! ALLELUIA!!!

that's MY BELIEF, that we are just here on Earth for a little while and once we leave this world, the Earth, we return to God, the Father in HEAVEN! I am SPEECHLESS and can't imagine being the parents tonight of those students killed by a crazy gunman today at Virginia Tech! Death is so final and comes like a thief in the night! I also put this song on my Blog tonight after visiting a Blog who had this beautiful song because her son had recently died. I don't go to UTube but sometimes listen to songs posted by other Bloggers. This is very fitting for Easter, which we are still in the season of Easter. The rising of Christ should give us all COMFORT! If only YOU can BELIEVE what is unseen.......love and prayers, xoxoxox

Yes, I agree. My heart aches for those families. Thank you for a beautiful post, and saying what I would want to say.
Saying many prayers tonight in their behalf.

In some ways this reminds us of 9/11 again.

"Prayer for Virginia Tech":

Mercy of God deliver us.
Love of Christ heal us.
Spirit of God strengthen us.

Lord, have mercy on all those hurt by the horrific massacre in Virginia -- the victims, the injured, the traumatized, the grieving, the rescuers, and the healers.

Prince of Peace, grant that through your holy Cross where you suffer with all humanity, we may rise up to new life with you, to be instruments of your Peace.

Through Christ our Lord, and the intercession of Fr. Mychal Judge, "the Saint of 9/11". Amen.

When something like this happens, it hits in the core of our being, not our faith, but we feel the loss in our bodies and minds. For we have indeed lost a part of 'The Body.'
