```***JOYOUS PALM SUNDAY***```
I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING OR HAD A JOYOUS PALM SUNDAY!!! I KNOW I DID! LOOK, THERE ARE MY PALMS THEY GIVE US AT CHURCH! JERRY AND I WALK AT THE GRAVEYARD AND THERE WERE A LOT OF GREEN YELLOW PALMS BLOWING IN THE WIND, WAVING AT US AS WE WALKED. WE BROUGHT HIS MOM, DAD AND BROTHER SOME PALMS.
MEL GIBSON'S MOVIE, "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST" WAS MADE IN 2003! 6 YEARS AGO! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!! I WOULD LIKE TO RENT THAT MOVIE AGAIN. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SCENES IN THE WHOLE MOVIE IS THE DONKEY EARS YOU SEE AS JESUS ENTERS JERUSALEM! WHAT JOY THE PEOPLE HAD SPREADING THEIR COATS, GARMENTS AND SOME BREAKING OFF PALM LEAVES FOR JESUS TO RIDE OVER! LIKE A GREEN CARPET OR MULTI-COLORED I GUESS IT WOULD BE! WHAT JOY AT THE FIRST OF THE WEEK! JOY TO SADNESS AS JESUS IS CRUCIFIED. WE GO BACK TO HAPPINESS AND JOY IN THE END FOR JESUS IS RISEN!!!
OUR CHURCH HAS A RE-ENACTMENT READINGS THIS WEEK AND IT CALLS FOR US, THE PARISHONERS TO BE THE CROWD. THE CROWD IS TO SHOUT "CRUCIFY HIM!" AND I CAN NOT JOIN IN AND SAY THESE WORDS. IF JESUS WASN'T CRUCIFIED THOUGH HISTORY WOULD BE SO MUCH DIFFERENT. IT HAD TO BE DRAMATIC AND HORRIFIC TO GET THE POINT ACROSS, TO TOUCH OUR HEARTS, TO OPEN THEM TO JESUS. GOD, THE FATHER DID NOT IGNORE HIS SON JESUS AFTER ALL FOR IN THE END, JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD, THE FIRST BORN OF THE DEAD TO RISE!!! I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN IN THAT UPPER ROOM WHEN HE DID COME BACK TO REASSURE THEM HE WAS NOT DEAD! I ALWAYS HOPE AND PRAY I WOULD NEVER GO ALONG WITH THE CROWD AND BE ONE OF THOSE BY THE END OF THIS WEEK SHOUTING, "CRUCIFY HIM!"
DO YOU LIKE THE LOOKS OF MY HOMEMADE FRITTIS AND CREAM PUFFS? MY CREAM PUFFS BACK IN THE DAY USED TO BE BIGGER SOOOO I WILL BE WORKING ON THIS! WONDERFUL FOR MY HUSBANDS AND MY DIET!!! TEE HEE

What a wonderful post! This time of the year, the passion week, is such a heart rending and then heart mending time. I know so many who blame God for not saving children who are murdered during war and yet, these same people, evidence now says, would be in the crowd yelling or ignoring the race expungement that goes on in wars. It is so easy to blame the wrong people. It isn't God, but people who do atrocities to one another. How can we be so blind.

love your post on palm sunday...in san miguel de allende the steps leading into all churches are filled with colourful women carefully finger weaving hundred year old palm sunday traditions. the palm cross is then taken into mass and blessed by the priest, held in reverence for the days processions and taken home for protection until it is used on ash wednesday.
